The start of the Eastern New Mexico State Fair in Roswell, NM is set to open Monday, October 3rd, 2022. The carnival part of the fair is set to open to the public Friday, September 30th, 2022. Rides are going to be open Friday, September 30th - Saturday, October 1st, 2022, rides will close on Sunday. Buildings and other fair activities will be closed. Parking & entry is free, ride bracelets will be $35 dollars each. Rides will open from 4-12 on Friday, 12-12 on Saturday. The fair will officially open to the public on Monday right after the Eastern New Mexico State Fair Prade ends around noon. The Eastern New Mexico State Fair runs until Saturday, October 8th, 2022. Traffic control will be done by police during the opening, slowed and reduced speeds have been changed on SE Main St. from Poe Ave. to Brasher Rd. Lanes will be reduced to one lane on SE Main St. The Prade will take place on Main St. from College Blvd. to McGaffey St. roads crossing Main will also be closed. Main will be closed around 8 AM- 12 PM Monday. Roads in and around the WoolBowl will also be closed.
