- What: High Wind Warning


- Dangers: High Wind 55-65 MPH, Fire Danger, Low Humidity, & Cross Winds.


- What To Watch For: Strong winds, crosswinds, fire danger, blowing dust (brownout conditions), falling or down trees, falling or down Power poles, & flying objects.


- Actions: tie-down all loose items, stay clear of down trees or power poles, drive carefully in brownout conditions, No Throwing out cigarettes out windows, don't drive through dry brush, and watch for dragging chains on trailers & Call 911 for down power poles or fires.


- Avoid: dirt roads, avoid down power poles again call 911, avoid areas with debris, Avoid welding or grinding near or around dry brush, Avoid Dry brush, lighting fires (Outdoor Burning Is Prohibited 🚫).


- Counties Affected: All Of Eastern NM, Central NM, Southern NM, Western NM, & Southern Texas . This includes the towns of (NM) Roswell, Clovis, Carlsbad, Artesia, Hobbs, Jal, Tucumcari, Clayton, Raton, Santa Rosa, Farmington, Las Cruces, Deming, Anthony, T or C, Gallup, & Fort Sumner. (TX) Amarillo, El Paso, Dalhart, & Borger. This also includes the Guadalupe Mountains, Sacramento Mountains, the plains of TX & NM. Also includes Santa Fe National Forest, Bottomless State Park, Gila National Forest, & Lincoln National Forest.


- Timing: 10:00 PM Texas Time Monday, April 11, 2022, 9:00 PM New Mexico Time Monday, April, 11, 2022 to 10:00 PM Texas Time Thursday, April 14, 2022, and 9:00 PM New Mexico Time Thursday, April 14, 2022.


- Reporting Weather Office: NWS Albuquerque & Amarillo, El Paso, & What Is Happening In NM Weather Center.
